ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM SARASOTA COUNTY IN SUPPORT OF PRECISION MACHINING PROGRAM AT SARASOTA COUNTY TECHNICAL INSTITUTE
Description
At its May 22, 2013 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners for Sarasota County voted to approve a grant, not to exceed $350,000.00, to assist SCTI in the purchasing of manufacturing equipment as part of the Workforce Development Plan, subject to a Grant Agreement between the County and the School District of Sarasota County.
Recommendation
That the grant from the Board of County Commissioners in support of precision machining at SCTI be accepted and authorize the Board Chair to execute the Grant Agreement when complete.
